Finca Los Pinos is a family farm in Santa Rosa, Guatemala, with roots stretching back more than 80 years. Today, the farm is operated by José "Chepe" Melgar, a third-generation coffee producer whose journey took him from Guatemala to California and back again.
After immigrating to California over 30 years ago, José spent decades working toward a dream of returning home to care for the land that had been in his family for generations. In 2022, that dream became reality. He now oversees Finca Los Pinos, cultivating coffee alongside a variety of agricultural crops.
This coffee comes to us through Sacramento-based Aydee Melgar of Desvelo Coffee, whose father is José himself, creating a direct connection between our community and the farm. Roasted for espresso, this washed field blend delivers a comforting cup with notes of cocoa, walnut, and brown sugar.
